LATE 80’s MERCEDES
Chris plays keyboard in New Zealand’s only 10-piece swing-funk band Late 80’s Mercedes.
Since 2000, the Late 80’s Mercedes boys have succeeded in making corporate and large scale public events memorable for all the right reasons. They play a wide variety of tunes from the likes of Adele to James Brown, and specialise in rearranging Top 40 songs into toe tapping, funk-soul swing numbers.
Late 80’s Mercedes has played an impressive array of corporate functions both locally and internationally, including events for the WOW Awards Show, Vodafone NZ, The NZ Advertising Awards, TVNZ, A1 Grand Prix, V8 Supercars, the Flight-Centre National Ball, World Rally Championships, and the Netball NZ just to name a few.

Chris has joined forces with New Zealand’s most prominent and versatile corporate entertainer, Greg Ward, to create an outstanding opera experience like no other.
With Chris at the helm of their travelling grand piano, and Greg’s classically trained baritone vocals and lightning quick wit, the 18th-century garbed duo deliver a show that sounds as good as it looks.
Tailored to your exact requirements, Opera Opera is never the same twice; a mix of much loved opera classics and their comedic ‘not-so-well-known’ improvised opera makes for an exhilarating evening of class, farce, and symphonic spectacle.
‘Just want to say a BIG thank you … you guys really hit the spot. I had tons of positive feedback from everybody. I am really impressed and so happy to be working with you. We all loved it and let's do it again next year.’ - Adrian Barkla, Owner Operator of Remuera New World Supermarket
