Here's what others say....
'One of the best Master Of Ceremonies we've ever worked with.'
— Hamish McKeich, Associate Conductor of the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra
'Your role as Master of Muppet Ceremonies made our time in Wellington such a pleasure. We couldn’t have felt more welcome and Jim Henson more celebrated in your lovely city.'
— Bonnie Erickson, Head Muppet Designer for Jim Henson, and first President of the Jim Henson Legacy
'The New Zealand Respiratory Conference has been taking place annually for many years, our aim in 2015 was to make it different from all other health conferences. Having Chris on board was certainly the best decision we made. He brought a "breath of fresh air" to the event, his professionalism and passion shone through and was commented on by several of the delegates, with one of our presenters being heard to say, “I have been to many health conferences and he is the best MC I have heard” We have booked Chris to MC our conference again this year and I know that we can rest assured that he will not let us down. Thanks Chris for your professionalism, passion, sense of humour and fun!!
— Teresa Demetriou, GM – Education & Research, Asthma and Respiratory Foundation NZ
‘As a professional conference organiser, I am delighted to commend Chris Lam Sam in his role as Master of Ceremonies at the annual New Zealand Reading Association 2015 Conference. The conference was attended by 350 delegates over a 3-day period held at the Westpac Stadium and involved multiple functions and programme components which required clear instructions to be provided to attendees. Chris was masterful in this compère role and we received many unsolicited favourable comments following the conference from those involved. In my 13 years of conference management, I would consider Chris a leading proponent of the skill. He is very well prepared, involves appropriate humour and has a warm stage presence. He understands well, crowd dynamics and the requirements of providing well worded links or instructions. Chris is flexible and has the ability to put an audience at ease. He certainly receives my whole-hearted recommendation.’
— Dave Treeby, Director of Eventuate Wellington Ltd.
‘Chris has been the MC for an arts festival we organised which he did with finesse and aplomb. Without doubt, hiring Chris in this capacity would be a great decision. I could not recommend him more highly.’
— Paul Blackman, Director of Nurturing Young Minds Ltd.
‘Thank you for an extraordinary presentation on Saturday night in your capacity as compere. You brought professionalism, engagement and warmth in a way that I don’t think we have experienced before and we are very grateful. If I may say so, one of the loveliest things is that someone who is so able and creative in a number of ways also exhibits values of integrity, humility and an ability to work with a team. Those are truly special qualities.’
— Robert Brace, Chairman of Porirua Christmas at the Park Trust
‘MC Chris Lam Sam ... the audience was well served. They began on command cheering in a careful piano and built to enthusiastic double forte in a laughing response to his exhortations to cheeeeer more loudly, and an exercise in counting the 1 2 3 of a waltz rhythm was made enormous fun as he produced his kazoo, and sounded the Blue Danube waltz as the audience shouted their sectional beats. The participation drew a huge audience response, and their mood for appreciating the music, all classical, drawn from significant composers from Bizet to Tchaikovsky, was enthusiastically positive.’
— Sam Edwards, 2017 'Sunset Symphony' Concert Reviewer for The Waikato Times.

‘The Waikato Show was privileged to have Chris manage our entertainment for 3 years. He has a fantastic community spirit, is always enthusiastic and organised. Chris met and exceeded all our expectations including working with our limited budget, promoting our event, arranging and managing multiple acts, and handling our APRA obligations.
